Hehe...I remember when...oh wait, that makes me sound like my old grandma :/
I do recall having 2 sup Abs dropped for me by Ettins, on the same day. I think my jaw dropped and bounced a few times. I think they were worth about 50k or thereabouts at the time.
Makes me wish there was still a rune drop that could make you squee as much these days. Still, getting a sup Vig dropped is still a good feeling
Getting something a bit special dropped is always cool though. Won't necessarily sell it, but it feels good to see it fall.

I miss when I sold Kanaxai's Edge for 100K after just typing it once into Trade Chat... And Kanaxai's Axe around the same time for 85K *sigh*

haha those where the days, when the underworld wasn't really known yet, i got a white storm bow 14-26 dmg...sold it for a nice 22k back then. i also remember Drake runs, since the drakes in gates of kryta where dropping golds like hell, i also remember the bugged chest in Sanctum Kay i think...it dropped crystallines, and one chest in Arid sea who used to drop unconditional weapons in the first week of gw. Then came the griffon farming madness, im serious when i say that i would pay 30$ for an update that could take me back there..for some reason i was more happy than atm.

i will explain as i have been here since early beta.
THE AVERAGE PERSON COULD NOT EVEN AFFORD A MAJOR VIGOR AT 35K LET ALONE A SUPERIOR AT 75K.
100K FOR SUPERIOR ABSORB?FORGET IT.
ANET PUT OUT AN INTERESTING PLAYER PROFILE FROM THEIR LOGS SHOWING THE AVERAGE PLAYER AT THAT TIME HAD 20K OR LESS.
DO THE MATH CLOWN MOST COULD NOT AFFORD THEM BACK IN THOSE STINKING GOOD OLD DAYS AND WE CAN NOW.
ECON 101 FAIL FOR YOU

Gold sink. Games like WoW need to keep people grinding away, hour after hour, since they charge a fee. I, too, am glad GW doesn't do that. Having to pay out the rear just to change up your stats was one of the (many) things that caused me to loathe WoW after level 35 or so.
And, yea, I remember the expensive sup vigors. I also remember when you couldn't choose what to salvage and I lost my very first (40k+) sup vigor to crafting materials
Selling salvaged unident runes for people's PvP unlocks was great too.

Hmmm, and here I was thinking LS made us all poor *shrugs*
People on here confuse me. They (as in majority, not individuals) say one thing, then contradict it completely with another thread...hehe.

Ho and back then you had way less people farming and less ways of farming. Obviously more money created generates lower prices. It's not just loot scaling causing that.

Or, we think it was more fun when you had to save money to buy stuff and actually enjoy when you buy a nice item. Maybe that's justme, I don't like getting stuff so easily now.
The REAL question to me, is would you rather get anything you want in a blink of an eye (exagerating of course) or having to work and actually enjoy getting things (not necessarly rare items).
I'll add, if my post is t be quote, that I'm not QQing. I just have a different view of what's fun and what's not to me, and I express it.

lol! Yes, quite. Click-spamming SoC trying to get bloody [wiki]Shield of Regeneration[/wiki] is not something I ever want to repeat. Sitting in THK was arguably even worse, as if you missed the cap on [wiki]Mark of Protection[/wiki] you have to wait around for another minute or so without killing the boss...
What was the next version? Didn't the boss "drop" the elite skill or something? I remember seeing the "Barrage" icon floating above a corpse. Something of a click-and-drag business to acquire it iirc.
